The Division of Speech Pathology and Audiology offers internships and externships for speech and hearing students outside of Duke University School of Medicine.

Audiology Internship

Duke Speech Pathology and Audiology offers an unpaid six- to eight-week summer internship (May - July) placement for upcoming third year AuD students. The AuD intern will gain valuable experience, offering advanced hearing evaluations and treatments and working with a skilled staff of audiologists.

Speech Pathology Externship

Duke Speech Pathology and Audiology offers a graduate student externship in speech pathology. This program allows graduate clinicians to apply their academic training in acute care, outpatient, and clinic settings in pediatric or adult programs that serve medically complex patients with a variety of speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
